The Catholic Action is one of the main historical and religious sites in Bethlehem. It comprises the famous wells of King David who ordered his soldiers to bring him some of their water of these wells, but when he knew about the dangers they faced to get it, he refused to drink it. On this site a monastery was built in the forth century A.D. , the mosaics of which are still well taken care of. The tombs of the monks who lived in that monastery are preserved in a well formed shape till now.

When the Catholic Action was first established there was a small building which consists of a small hall and a room, but now the Catholic Action consists of:

  1. Main building which consists of the main hall for festivities, a cultural centre, and a basement for the air condition and central heating.
  2. The old building which includes a small hall for recreation, a room for the use of committees, a hall for the entertainment  of the elderly, and a meeting room for the board.
  3. A hall for the meeting of the young people.
  4. A very old building which consists of two floors, the first floor game Machines, and the second for the sport committee.

  5. A swimming pool for the families of Bethlehem to spend a nice time in summer.
  6. Playgrounds for basketball. We have teams for all ages starting from 7 - 35 year (both sexes).
  7. A garden for the citizens of Bethlehem to meet in the summer and spend their time in listening to pop-music and playing bingo.
