Activities

The CAB is one of the oldest youth centers and sports clubs in Bethlehem area. Since 1952 the club has offered various activities throughout the whole year mainly during summer vacations.

Interrupted for approximately ten years as a result of the bad political and economic situation, the CAB has modestly carried on its activities in spite of the serious lack of resources in terms of funds, personnel, equipment.

Sports activities:
  • Young men and women participated in sports like basketball, table tennis, volleyball, and handball.
  • The CAB is well known as one of the best basketball teams for youth of both genders in the West Bank. They are considered one of the best four teams in Palestine.
  • The CAB organizes swimming, fitness, aerobics, body-building and karate lessons for all sectors and age groups.


Social activities:

  • Educational contests between students from schools in Bethlehem area.

  • Educational, documentary and entertainment films showing.

  • Sunday school where each Sunday 300 members of the Sunday school program gather for mass, catechism and interaction.

  • Senior citizens activities, where the CAB is open for senior citizens every afternoon for social games and interaction.

  • Women weekly meetings.

  • Musical events, bingo nights with dinner, in addition to wedding receptions.

Sunday school:

Each Sunday, 300 members of the Sunday school program gather for mass, catechism and interaction.

Senior citizens activities:

The CAB is open for senior citizens every afternoon for social games and interaction.

Cultural activities:
  • Theatre in the cinema hall.

  • Folklore dancing

Committees
In order to coordinate all the above mentioned goals and activities, the Board of Directors erected several committees within the Institution, each committee headed by a board member to supervise and guide it. 

The committees are divided as follows:
